XS1100 Midnight Brat

Swapped the handlebars with something more reasonable and added new grips and levers to the left side. Waiting to update the right side in case I need to do any work to the brakes or throttle to get it running. Also removed the rear luggage rack thing.

So the gas tank was full of rust. I tried the ‘ole white-vinegar-and-a-handful-of-screws trick to remove as much as I could before coating the tank with 2 coats of POR-15. The inside of the tanks looks much better now. How do you guys suggest fixing a rusty tank?

This is my XS1100 midnight special that I planned to customize. Unfortunately, I’ve been struggling to get it running and am debating about selling it. If I can get it running I plan to turn it into a brat-ish style custom bike, with a new seat, bars, among other things, and maybe even do a GSXR fork swap
