The amount of spares & the hard work drove Ben to drink. And with that, the next step was to get the engine running. It didn't but the fault was a missing tilt sensor. I then got a video of Ben revving the engine, clearing the water & keeping the engine going so it appears we've got lucky! We now need to change the cam tensioner for the manual one, change the battery as the current one is lousy which will allow us to check the starter motor as they pack up on the SRADs & then it's a case of finishing the paintwork & nipping up the odd jobs.

Ben then started on the bodywork & the first thing to do was fill in the dents. Of which there were multiple 😤 He then destickered the tail. I love the more angular look! 😍 Then the tank was sanded right back

I worked on my own version of the MotoGPWerks rear caliper bracket conversion which removes the torsion bar, something I will be offering up for sale in batches very soon. They also use a Ducati/Aprilia rear brake caliper off a 749, 996 etc & I got the numbers mixed up. No matter, new ones were then ordered. This is the end result. I'll soon be replacing it for my own, so I can test them before I sell them. I also need to give the bike a good scrub looking at this!

Annoyingly, the 999 rear pads I ordered for the rear caliper conversion didn't fit

Then the niggles started. First of all, the K-Series tail I got didn't have a taillight lense. So I ordered what I thought would fit but then found out it's too big
