I took the engine off, with help from my dad, and couldn't really figure anything out. I took the cylinder and piston to a mechanic and he said he'll hone the cylinder, but won't touch the piston. Of course, he didn't know how to help with the oil issue either, other than to tell me to figure it out!😂

@frankiepadula okay! That sounds like it's worth doing. I figured, that I might as well change all the gaskets while I'm at it. Get to know the engine a little better!

I don’t have a lot of experience with the SR chassis, but usually oil burning problems are caused by faulty piston rings, as well as worn valve shims and seats. So I would start there while it’s apart.

Okay here's the deal. I need some advice on my bike. I bought it earlier this year and it's oh so pretty and all, but it started burning oil this summer. And I mean a lot! It got so bad that the bike didn't run anymore. I don't know that much about bikes so does anyone have any idea what to do about it?
