Took a little side trip apart from the sandblasting and painting. As all the aluminium parst are in a terible state.....with a lot of standing and polishing i archieved a mirror like finish :) still like 10 parts to do the same with

Did a first run with the spraypaint gun, now the frame is covered in a nice layer of "avus black". Its been a while but had to upgrade the compressor, build a diy paintbooth and wait for the weather to improve......the end result i would say 7/10, obvious some parts that need touch up or sanding but what a improvement. Next in line for painting are the rims, headlight and maybe the forklegs qll need to be sandblasted first.

After a sandblast marathon of 1,5 hour the frame and driveshaft have been coaten wit epoxy primer. Somewhere in spring i'm gonne try to spraypaint it in avus black

Did my first run with the homegarage sandblast cabinet. Parts where covered in two layers of paint, oxidation and dirt. Manager to clean 80-90% of the surface especialy the valvecover is hard to fully clean. So still some work to be done. Also the corund blastmedia is a bit to agressieve so gone try a finer grit.
