Day 2. Inventory Knowing what we’d bought had to be our first step. We got everything out of each of the boxes, laying out everything BMW in front of the bike and everything that wasn’t off to the side. We found that we had duplicates of some things, triplicates of others and other bits were missing entirely. 3 sets of injectors, almost a complete second engine, 2 alternators, 2 working looms but no radiator, no fuel pump, no ECU.

Thanks Samuel - we’re on Instagram too @barnfieldcustoms. Stoked to see how things work out with your project too. What’s the plan?

Day 1: Collection. We bought the bike based on a Facebook marketplace listing and a bit of back and forth with the owner. There wasn’t an inventory but we could see the front forks had been swapped out and a rear loop welded in so we pulled the trigger. Matt got hold of a van for us but until we actually got the bike in, we weren’t 100% convinced everything would fit. It did, with an inch to spare so we loaded everything up, got it back to the garage and went for coffee to make a plan.
