Looking great with the new paint!

Been a while but we have paint on the tank! Bike is up and running after the carb rebuild. Gotta fix an oil leak behind the sprocket cover soon, but we’ll be riding in no time! Fenders are being sprayed sometime soon.

Carb rebuild went well, Pinesol combined with canned carb cleaner did what I’d call a good enough job at getting all the gunk out. Before I put it back on the bike I’ll probably invest in a new throttle return spring as this one seems to have lost its strength.

It’s carb day today! The rebuild kit for this Bendix unit came in the mail so it’s time to make headway on the rebuild. The carb isn’t super dirty, so I’m going to see if a soak in pinesol will suffice. Time now to soak for a few days and see what it comes out looking like.

Right now the bike has the fenders and turtle tank off being sandblasted. Gave the heads and cam cover a quick polish. Next up is a carb rebuild and a refresh on the ignition system. The peanut tank was on the bike in the 1990’s and is ruined on the inside.
