Ural m66

Here's the bike loosely assembled at this point i was still trying to source a tank. The rear mudguard I managed to buy from a member of the cossack club. Parts for the ural are very expensive compared to my other communist bikes, most of them have to come from the Ukraine or Russia taking over a month to arrive due to Corona! So trying to source good used parts in the UK is the best bet.

The ural m66 didnt have a reverse gear like the other models so I decided to fit a m67 gearbox I bought for cheap as the kickstart mechanism didnt work it all came down to the kickstart quadrant pin was sheared in 3 pieces. All new seals and bearings and it was ready to fit to the engine !

Bsa beaver restoration

As you can see it needed major restoration . The engine amazingly ran with some new fuel in it. Unfortunately the engine casing had a crack in it and I couldnt source a new half so I went about replacing the engine.

The bottom end of the engine was fine but most of the seals needed replacing so I replaced them with high quality seals also the pistons were seized so I managed to free them both but there was rust in the bore so I decided to replace both pistons and barrels also valve guides seals while I was there.
