CBR600f2 from rat to racer

Spring is nearly here and the bike is still unfinished, need to step up the game! Made big progress with wiring after taking these photos and now wiring is nicely inside frametubes. Need to testfit everything and make some brackets before frame gets some fresh paint on it. Also going to paint front forks and rear swing.

Back at it again. Had to move bike from a garage to another for welding stuff. After that, caught a nasty flu (not corona tho) and had to take a brake on the Honda. Ended up on the internet however and ordered plenty of parts, such as seat, clip-ons and so on. Also had time to restore some parts such as the radiator. Got some stuff done during this weekend; mocked up rest of the rear frame and assembled the clip-ons for a test fit. Next up is to start attaching stuff on the new rear frame.

Some progress made during few last weeks. Took off the poorly made fighter rear and started to mock up new one. Also dropped the engine. Took a while to get all the dirt and grease off from it and layed few layers of black with heat resistant paint. Next up is to order a seat and start welding!

The beginning, bought this "gem" for 300€. Formely a poorly built fighter which is going to have a new life as a summer cruiser, asphalt eating cafe racer. Engine runs smoothly, however rear sprocket and clutch are gone, keeping me from trying it out. This bad boy is getting a big service and plenty of fresh paint and new parts! Stay tuned!
